On Catherine Street in Limerick is a wonderful gem of a shop called Joli. I discovered Joli last year when I started freelancing at The Limerick Leader as I passed it from the car park to the Limerick Leader offices.
I've since met owner, Grainne Vaughn and have even written about the shop for two wedding supplements.
Joli is a veritable treasure trove of accessories ranging from bracelets and earrings to purses, scarves, necklaces, hats and umbrellas.
Grainne is no stranger to fashion and style. She spend 20 years as Chief Executive of the Chicago branch of Barbizon modelling agency and has travelled throughout the world.
Her shop is a one stop shopping destination for everything you need to accessorize and outfit and with the wedding season and recession in full swing - it's the best place to give an old outfit a new lift.
Grainne calls it being "Jolied" - which literally means a customer comes in to her with their outfit and she'll go through the shop finding a refreshing mix of accessories to give the outfit a cohesive look.
I love stopping into her when I'm in Limerick as she always has a fantastic range of pieces in the shop. There are loads of different colours and styles. Brides can pick up beautiful bridal pieces or the mother of the bride will be sure to find a stunning hat for the big day.

It is a pity you did not travel further a field because then you would have discovered an Emporium of the most unusual accessories I have evercome across. And the prices are unbelivable. It is a shop called House Of Solo, Ellen Street. If you are ever doing any other features you should make it a prority to get down there and as for the staff they go above and beyond what they have to do to help you. The decor s to dye for a real girl dreamplace.
