Yesterday I went to an interesting workshop 'Social Media and Conversation Marketing' sponsored by the Tipperary North Enterprise Board and given by Johnny Beirne While I am actually using some of these social and conversation networking options I know I need to be Twittering more - so those of you that do follow me on Twitter, I'm going to be working on that but will NOT be talking about walking my dog:) I'll also be adding a Facebook page for NenaghGal too - need to work on that name branding - linking my name to my blog etc!!!
Anyway, on to my post for the day, slightly rushed I might add as I'm off to a press event at the Roche Bobois showroom in Dublin and picking up another freelance writer along with way....so the new issue of Munster Interiors is out on newsstands now. I do have a story in this issue on Stylish Storage (see page 62) and as always it was great working on a new piece as I met many more companies for sourcing images etc.
The issue in general looks really great. It has new freshness to it and many of the houses feel like people do actually live in them. Editor, Kate Allen has done a great job finding homes that have a unique feel to them. The bedroom, above, is in an old Victorian house in Cobh. From the exterior you would not expect what is inside but that's all part of the surprise. Just look at those textures in the cushions, quilt and the fantastic tufted headboard. The rest of the house has loads of other fun combinations of old and new. It gives one a lot of ideas for renovating an old house, keeping some traditional details but giving it a modern day style.
This is a new Marquis kitchen range available at Florios Furniture.
The shop is in Kildimo just outside Limerick City. I love the unique combination of different pieces - not all matching and perfect. Can't wait to go up and visit in person.
This kitchen is from a home in Waterford - can you imagine having this much space to entertain?
This kitchen is inside that same Victorian house - I love the eclectic mix, especially that it's not all 'matchy matchy'.
Yes, a bit rushed today but do go up and pick up the new issue and be sure to let Kate Allen know what a great job she's doing - editors always love to hear!
