My apologies for missing in action for so long......I'm continuing to juggle the new full time job and find time for my blog - which I absolutely love doing....but tend to be a bit burnt out from computers at the end of the day.
Anyway, I won't make excuses any more - I'm just going to post entries whenever I can and continue to write about the things I love.
So today, I'm writing about Easter. A favourite holiday of mine because growing up it was always a big day for our family to get together. My mother set wonderful tables and we almost always had lamb which personally is my favourite.
I'm finding out now that it's a much bigger tradition in the States to set Easter tables and have loads of Easter decorations than it is here in Ireland.
My own collection of Easter goodies has slowly be amassed over the years - several years ago - about 6 - I went through an obsession of buying these wonderful German eggs on Ebay. I quickly acquired quite a nice little collection so they've become my focal piece for my Easter table.
The branch I picked up at this new store in Nenagh called Twenty Six as I knew with my current schedule I'd be too rushed to find a natural branch to paint so while this one is plastic - it will be great to use for other holidays such as Christmas - the eggs - from a Euro store in Limerick - love their pastel colours.
All the stuffed bunnies are my daughters - I loved bunnies as a child and so started buying her bunnies as well when she was a baby. Her favourite companion is a ratty-well loved Peter Rabbit.
LOVE your table !!! an Easter table is one of the best drawing upon all the spring flowers and eggs and bunnies...this is great !
