Cosy Interiors inspired by the Woods

Another of my favourite magazines is Country Home & Interiors. It is also well photographed and well styled. The November issue felt particularly cosy and it made me feel slightly more prepared for the long dark evenings.
This story called Be Inspired by the Woods was styled by Carol Wortley Bishop and her team.
In the sitting room above and below, I loved the Songbird Rug from John Lewis. The Cadogan chair from David Seyfried has a delightful fabric called Delaware Berry which I think really works - love the stag head cushion from John Lewis too. the walls colour reminds me of my parents sitting room back in Connecticut- and the white ceilings keep the room light and fresh.

Here I like this little X table - the Anjou Table from Wesley-Barrell. The Bespoke Prism sofa has been covered in a Harlequin fabric. The mixed assortment of cushions is fun and playful and keep the room from getting too serious. We should ban formal frumpy sitting rooms.

In the hall shot - I just loved this curtain - the fabric is to die for - Squirrel & Dove in teal/red from Sanderson.

And this leather belt tie back is genius! It's from Mulberry Home but why not head down to a saddlery to create the look for yourself? I'm going to investigate some ideas at our local store, Equistyle, here in Nenagh.

This sideboard in a strong sapphire tone is from Grange. Who else? Grange always does wonderful colours. The ice bucket with the stag heads is from Joanna Wood. The delightful painting, Garden Birds and Seed Heads by Harriet Bane.

Two chairs here have an embroidered fabric which is graphic and playful - Lowveld, Hertex at Henry Bertrand. The teal runner is from Volga Lien and the plus Fine Sparkle rug from Next. I also love the owl sculpture on the window sills, a little hard to see, but sweet - from Thyme.

Who wouldn't love a felt bunny egg cosy waiting for them in the morning? These are from Selvedge. I have a thing for textiles and this pile makes me want to curl up under them and read all day. We had our first heavy frost here this morning in Nenagh - so when I got up I blasted the heat to get us moving. My daughter has a walk to school on Wednesday initiative going on right now in order for the school to try and win their 4th green flag - so we'll be bundling up this morning!

Do pick up a copy of this magazine - it's got loads of great ideas and I am really enjoying it as one of my favourites these days.
Stay warm.
