This was shot last year for Jerpoint Glass, Kilkenny.
I've recently had the privilege of working with the talented photographer Trevor Hart. Over the last few weeks he's been shooting the new lifestyle images for Nicholas Mosse Pottery - where I work full-time during the day as their Marketing Director and we'll be using the images on our new website, 2012 catalogue, advertisements and even editorial coverage. He's not only a true professional and a lovely person to work with but he's got a real knack for fantastic lighting and product placement.
As I've featured so many craftspeople myself on this blog I wanted to let you all know about the charity work he's doing right now.
Trevor told me, "This year my son is fund raising for a huge project in Romania with Habitat for Humanity, This organization builds houses and provides help for families in need all around the world and in Ireland too.
It is the 10th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity Ireland and they intend to take 200 pupils from Wesley College in Dublin to Romania to build 10 new houses for a community there. All the details can be found on their website.
I have discussed this with Mary McGrath in the Crafts Council and have written to her to ask if she would like to support this initiative.
This is the dealTrevor will shoot 2 images of any Craft produce for €70. He will supply high resolution tiffs for print and 2 sizes of Jpeg for web and PR use and these images can be used exclusively by you as you wish for an open period.Examples of his work can be seen in the Craft Council website and also in all the promotional material for this years Showcase. He can't unfortunately shoot with a model unless enough of you want to shoot jewelry, fashion or textiles and then perhaps he might be able to persuade a model agency / Hair & Make up person to donate their time.
This was shot last year for Moth to a Flame, Kilkenny.
Work can be delivered at his studio but please call Trevor or his assistant Sylvie before you make the trip . Their number is:
01 416 9750 or 086 2530308.
You can also post work to them at 41b Avenue Road, Dublin 8 but please register and insure the work and if you could include return postage in your payment that would be great. If you would like more than 2 images of your work they can work out a special deal based on the price above. Photography will begin at the end of April and continue to the end of June. All proceeds go to the Wesley College Habitat for Humanity fundCheques should be made out to Wesley college / Habitat for Humanity
I'm well familiar with Habitat for Humanity myself from the States. This is a great cause and it's such a great opportunity for crafts people to get their work professionally photographed and contribute to a charity at the same time.
Do try to take advantage of the opportunity.
